Problems with plastic

  1. many are made from fossil fuels

  2. can take hundreds of years to decay

  3. when burned, they release toxins

  4. they harm animals that eat plastics

  5. plastics fill landfills

  6. plastics can leach harmful chemicals

What you can do:

  1. use an insulated stainless steel bottle

  2. don’t buy things wrapped in plastic

  3. use beeswax wraps

  4. use Mason jars

  5. use stainless lunch box


Americans are generating more plastic trash than ever, and very little of it gets recycled. Plastics and their byproducts are littering our cities, oceans, and waterways, and contributing to health problems in humans and animals.
